Prior to joining the Tripi team in 2007, Sue worked for 13 years as a fundraising and communications executive in the nonprofit sector. She spent a decade in the mental health field with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Fountain House, where she grew individual giving by 400% during her tenure. Earlier in her career, she also served as the Associate Director of Major Gifts for Planned Parenthood Federation of America, managing the stewardship and solicitation of a national file of 250 donors with annual gifts of $10,000 or more.
She is a member of the DMFA, Association of Fundraising Professionals, and the Fundraising Day in New York (FRDNY) Program Committee. She has also served as the Co-Chair of the National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon. Sue’s direct marketing work with Tripi is an eight-time winner of the industry-awarded DMFA Award.
Sue is a graduate of the leadership training and development programs of Landmark Worldwide. She is the Co-Founder and President of the Swish Ally Fund, which supports LGBTQ+ organizations engaging allies in the fight for love, freedom, and equality. She holds a mini-MBA in Social Media Marketing from Rutgers University‘s Center for Management Development, where she also completed her undergraduate degree. She is a former foster parent and the proud solo mom of an 18-month-old daughter.
